The Lachmann Nova barrel will help to increase our damage range while also giving us less recoil. The main downside of this attachment is the decrease in our movement speed and aim down sight speed. However, if we are playing this class and plan to hold down specific points in the map rather than run and gun it’s a great choice.
Adding the Forge-Tac Castle comp really helps to control any recoil on this weapon.
The Forge Tac Ripper 56 underbarrel also helps to give us less recoil on the weapon while also improving hip fire accuracy. This can save you in close-quarters battles with this weapon when you don’t have time to aim down sight.
We add on the LM Cronus grip as it allows us to stay stable when getting shot at with the boost to flinch resistance.
Adding on the Lachmann S9 Factory stock allows us to bring back some of the movement speed we lost with the other attachments balancing the weapon out.
This setup gives you high damage and low recoil. While you will be a bit slower and have a longer ADS speed it’s a great class for a more reserved playstyle.

In Modern Warfare 2 you start the game with your initial perks. As you get kills and score in the game you will unlock your bonus and ultimate perks.
For this class, I would recommend running Cold Blooded as your bonus perk allowing you to stay off AI Targeting systems and thermal optics. You also won’t trigger high alert or be highlighted on enemy tactical cameras, Recon Drones and spotter scopes.
For your Ultimate perk, we recommend picking Ghost allowing you to stay off enemy mini-maps.
Utilising dead silence allows you to stay quiet when moving around the map. The footstep sound in this game is loud so this perk gives you a huge advantage.
This is a great set-up for being stealthy and tactical about your playstyle rather than running and gunning. Hold down a position and dominate the enemy.
How To Unlock Lachmann 556 In MW2
To unlock the Lachmann 556 in MW2 you need to level up the Lachmann-762 to level 13. You will then unlock the Lachmann-556 Assault Rifle.
Modern Warfare 2 has a new feature called Weapon platforms. Platforms are essentially an in-game “brand” of guns. To unlock specific weapons you will have to level up certain weapons in a weapon platform.
Unlocking attachments for a specific weapon platform allows you to use those attachments on other compatible weapons in the platform.
The unlock path for the Lachmann 556 is:
Lachmann-762 (Lvl 13) –> Lachmann-556
