Can You Play Valorant On A Steam Deck?
No, you can not play Valorant on the Steam Deck. Valorant is unfortunately one of the most popular games not available on the Steam deck due to compatibility issues.
Why Does Valorant Not Work On Steam Deck
The Steam Deck runs on Steam OS which is a Linux-based operating system. Valve has created a software called Proton which is a compatibility layer allowing Windows-based games to be played on the Steam Deck.
This is great because it allows thousands more games to be played on your Steam Deck. The problem with Valorant is the Anti-Cheat software. There are currently problems between this anti-cheat and Valve’s proton software. They are not compatible together.
Unless the devs working on the Anti-cheat software work with Valve to make the two software compatible then it is unlikely we will see Valorant on the Steam Deck anytime soon. Hopefully, they can come together soon so we can see play Valorant on the go.
Install Valorant With A Workaround
Some people have been able to get Valorant up and running on their consoles using a workaround. They actually install the full Windows 10 operating system on their Steam Deck then play Valorant the same way you would on a normal PC.

Once you have Windows 10 installed you can simply install Valorant through the Epic Games Launcher.
