No, unfortunately, you are unable to stream from the Nintendo Switch Lite with a capture card. The Lite version of the Switch does not have an HDMI out to connect to your capture card. If you want to stream a Nintendo Switch Lite you will have to do it without a capture card. You can do this by pointing a camera at your Switch screen and streaming.

How To Set Up The Elgato Capture Card With Nintendo Switch

  1. Connect one of your HDMI cables to the HDMI out on the Dock
  2. Connect the other end of that cable to the HDMI in on your capture card
  3. Plug one end of the second HDMI cable into the HDMI out on the capture card and plug the other end into your TV/Monitor
  4. Ensure your capture card is connected to your computer
  5. Plug your Nintendo Switch into the dock and power on the console

You should now be able to see your Nintendo Switch screen in your game capture software as well as on your TV/Monitor.

Can The Nintendo Switch Stream 4k?

No, the Nintendo Switch is unable to stream in 4k. The maximum output resolution of the Switch when docked is 1920×1080 meaning that 1080p is the highest resolution you can stream in.

There were rumours that the new OLED Nintendo Switch might have 4K capabilities but unfortunately on release it does not. The dock however is future proofed and is capable of producing 4k video if Nintendo ever do release a 4k model.
