So you’ve got your first mod on your channel and you’re maybe wondering what tasks they can help out with. Obviously they can moderate the chat but if you’ve came to this article you’re wondering if they can change your title or game without you have to stop in the middle of your stream and do it.
Personally I’m a big fan of zombies and would play lots of high round games. Every time I progressed through 5+ rounds I wanted to update that in my title to draw more attention to my stream.
This is how to do it.
Can Twitch Moderators Change The Title On My Stream?
A Twitch Moderator is unable to edit your titles but a twitch Editor on your channel can however you may not want Mods to have that much ability on your channel as the editor role also allows them to delete vods etc. If you want moderators to have the ability to change your title you can use a tool like Nightbot.
How To Make Someone An Editor On Your Stream
If you trust someone enough to add them as an Editor to your stream this is how you can do it.
Go to your Twitch Creator Dashboard –> Community –> Roles Manager
Select Add New and type in the users name that you want to be an editor on your channel.
Once they have been added as an editor they will now have the ability change your Title or game your playing while you’re streaming.
Now you won’t have to stop mid stream to change your Title and can keep the flow going without interruption.
Once again I just want to warn you that if you add someone to your stream that has an editor roll they do have the ability to delete vods and make edits on your channel. Do not add someone to this roll that you do not trust.

What is Nightbot?
Nightbot is an extension for your Twitch or Youtube stream that gives you additional moderation features to keep your chat clean.
How to Install Nightbot on Your Twitch Stream?
Go to Nightbot.tv and log in with your Twitch Account. Give permissions for Nightbot to access your Twitch account.
Night bot is now installed on your stream. When you install Nightbot it comes with a variety of default commands that your chat and moderators can use. Nightbot already has a default command allowing you to change the title of your stream.
How To Use Nightbot For Changing Twitch Titles?
To change or view the Title of your stream with Nightbot you will want to use the command !title
Anyone can use this command on your stream to view the title.
However if you want to change your stream title you or moderators can edit it by utilising the command + new title.
E.G.
!title New Stream Title Goes Here
This would change your stream title to “New Stream Title Goes Here”
How To Use Nightbot to Change Twitch Game
To change or view the Title of your steeam with nightbot you can use the command !game
Anyone can use this command to see what game you are playing.
However if you want to change the game you or your moderators can edit it by utilising the command + New game.
E.G.
!game Call Of Duty Warzone
This would change your game category on twitch to Call Of Duty Warzone.

This will keep you safe from anyone deleting your vods or messing with anything else on your channel.
