Luckily, Youtube added the Watch Later feature allowing you to save video to watch at a later time because let’s be real, you won’t remember the title or channel of the video you want to watch.
However, after a while, that watch later list can get backed up pretty fast. In this article, we are going to show you how to clear your Youtube watch later section. Let’s jump in.
How To Clear Watch Later Videos On Youtube On Your Computer
First, let’s take a look at how you can clear your watch later on Youtube. When you clear your Watch later, it removes any videos that you have watched and keeps any videos that you have not watched. Follow the steps below to clear Watch later:
- Go to the Youtube Homepage while logged into your account
- Click on Watch Later on the left-hand side
- In the Watch later section click on the 3 dots below “Watch Later”
- Select Remove watched videos
- You will be asked to confirm you want to remove the videos. Click on “Remove“
- All videos that you had previously watched will now be removed from your Watch Later list
You can now easily see all of the videos that you wanted to watch, but didn’t get a chance to.
How To Remove Unwatched Videos From Watch Later
There may also be a situation where you want to remove unwatched videos from your Watch Later list. Unfortunately, there is no way to bulk delete videos in the watch later list. It has to be done one at a time. Follow the steps below to remove a single video from Watch Later on Youtube.
- Open the Youtube Homepage
- Click on Watch Later on the left-hand side
- Hover over the video you want to remove and click on the 3 dots to the right of the video. Select “Remove from Watch Later”
Your video will now be instantly removed from your Watch Later list. If you want to remove a lot of unwatched videos you will have to go one by one through your list.
How To Clear Watch Later On Youtube Mobile
You can also clear your Watch Later section directly from your mobile phone. Follow the steps below to clear the list.
- Open the Youtube App on your phone
- Click on Library on the bottom right-hand side of the screen and select Watch Later from the menu
- In the Watch Later screen click on the 3 dots in the top-right hand corner and select “Remove Watched Videos”.
- You will be asked if you are sure you want to remove the videos. Select “Remove”
You have now successfully removed your watch later videos on mobile. Again there is no way to remove unwatched videos on mobile. If you want to remove videos you have not watched you will have to do it one by one.
To do this select the video and click on the 3 dots to the right of it and select “Remove From Watch Later”.
