When you log into Discord and take a look at your friends in your server, you can sometimes see which games they are playing. Occasionally, if the game has the Rich Presence feature you can even see where they are in a game. You are probably wondering if your friends can see what you are doing and when you are playing games.

In this article we are going to show you how to stop Discord showing what game you are playing.

How To Stop Discord Showing What Game You Are Playing

There is a setting in Discord which determines whether or not the game you are playing is shown to your friends. Follow the steps below to adjust this setting:

  1. Open the Discord application on your computer or Web Browser
  2. Click on the settings button beside your name
  1. Scroll down to Activity Settings in the settings menu
  2. Click on Activity Status
  1. Set “Display Current Activity as a status message” to off. This will ensure that the game you are playing is not shown to your Discord friends.

You have now successfully disabled sharing your game with your friends on Discord. They will no longer be able to see what you are doing while you are logged in to Discord.

If you ever want to turn it on again you can do so by navigating back to the same settings menu and enabling the Display Current Activity settings.

Wrapping Up

You should now have successfully disabled sharing your game on Discord by turning off this setting. You can now game in peace without your friends knowing what you are doing.
