Downloading and Installing XSplit VCam

  1. Download XSplit Vcam on their website at www.xsplit.com/vcam or click here.
  1. Click on the Download button and it will automatically download the installer.

How To Test If XSplit VCam Is Working

  4. Open your Windows Camera by pressing the window key on your keyboard. Type camera then press enter.
  5. Your Windows Camera app will open your webcam by default.
  6. Change it to XSplit VCam by clicking the Change Camera icon on the top right.
  1. Press the Change Camera Icon until the XSplit VCam logo shows up. Wait a little while and it will now display your face with the desired VCam preset.

How To Use XSplit Vcam With Skype

  1. Open XSplit Vcam.
  2. Make sure that your camera is detected.
  3. Select the preset, background, or effect that you want.
  4. Open Skype.
  5. Go to your Skype Settings by clicking the three dots and then clicking Settings.
  1. Click Audio and Video settings.
  2. If XSplit VCam is not yet selected and you do not have a camera preview, click on the drop-down menu and select XSplit VCam.

  4. Open the Zoom Voice Conference app and sign in to your account.
  5. Go to the Settings by clicking the Gear icon on the upper right corner of the window.

If you are streaming and you want to remove or change your background, XSplit VCam is a neat option. Follow these steps if you want to use XSplit VCam with OBS Studio.

  1. Open XSplit Vcam.
  2. Determine if your camera is selected.
  3. Customize your camera look. Change your background, adjust blur, and many more.
  4. Open OBS Studio.
  1. Select a Scene then click the plus (+) sign under Sources to add a new source.
  1. Click on Video Capture Device.
  1. Create a new Source by typing a new name and then hitting Ok.

Yes! XSplit VCam now supports MacOS. You may now use one of the best background removal tools on your Apple device.

There is a catch though. XSplit VCam is not yet available on first-party MacOs apps such as FaceTime and Safari. This is due to Apple’s tight security when it comes to third-party apps.
