Who Is Lirik?

Lirik, whose real name is Saqib Zahid, was born in Germany in 1990. However, he soon moved to the US, landing in Boston, Massachusetts. Although Lirik is one of the largest and most celebrated content creators on Twitch, he keeps his personal life extremely private. Because of this, not much is really known about him behind the scenes. What is known is the fact that he grew up in a family that was dealing with economic challenges.

When he chose to pursue his ambition of becoming a pro streamer, he started on Twitch (in 2011) with World of Warcraft as his main game. He then switched to DayZ, where he saw massive growth in followers. After DayZ, he rotated through main games until eventually, he became a full variety streamer with no main game. He started playing newly released games and making reaction content on stream.

Lirik doesn’t use a webcam, although in 2013 he accidentally turned it on, revealing his face. From then on he became less private about his appearance, although he still chooses to stream without a camera today.
