Who Is Pokimane?
Pokimane is one of Twitch’s biggest female streamers. Pokimane, real name Imane Anys, was born in Africa — in Morocco, to be exact. However, when she was four years old, her family immigrated to Quebec, Canada (the French-speaking part of the country).
She first started streaming on Twitch back in 2013, and her first ever streams were from her dorm room in McMaster University. At the time, she was studying Chemical Engineering. In 2014, she started her first youtube channel.
Pokimane started receiving her first sponsorship requests in the year 2015. When she realized the potential in Twitch, she decided to drop out of school and move to Los Angeles as she started streaming full time.
In 2017, Pokimane joined OfflineTV, a team of content creators that Scarra created in the same year. From then on, she just continued growing both on Twitch and Youtube.
Nowadays, Pokimane is also popular on other platforms like Tiktok. She is widely considered one of the highest-paid female streamers on Twitch, and streams to an average of over 20,000 viewers per stream.

What Mic Does Pokimane Use?

The Electro Voice RE-20 is not a cheap mic by any means. It’s one of the priciest ones used by streamers, up there with the Shure SM7B. And, like the SM7B, the RE-20 is a cardioid dynamic microphone that’s capable of putting out amazing quality audio.
There’s a built-in pop filter within the mic to avoid those annoying plosives, and the RE-20 also has a built-in shock mount. The shock mount helps to reduce any noises caused by outside vibration.
If you’re worried about line hum, the RE-20 has a steel case with a hum-bucking coil to prevent it from happening, thanks to magnetic shielding.
This microphone is an XLR mic, which means you will need to have an audio interface to use it for streaming.

For less distortion and clearer audio, the HyperX Cloud Alpha has dual-chamber drivers. The braided cable is also detachable for convenience.

The HyperX Alloy Origins 60 is a 60% layout tenkeyless mechanical keyboard. However, if you would rather have a TKL or full-sized keyboard, the Alloy Origins is also available in these two layouts.
This RGB keyboard uses double-shot PBT keycaps to prevent key fading. It uses HyperX custom-designed switches that were balanced for accuracy and speed. Another thing you can count on is reliability, as the switches are rated for eighty million presses.
The Alloy Origins keyboard has 3 different angles of tilt, and a detachable USB-C cable.
