Who is Shroud?

Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek is a 28-year-old Canadian professional Valorant player for Sentinels. He is from Canada but is currently staying in California.

Shroud is a former professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player for Cloud9. He retired from competitive CS: GO back in 2018 to focus on his streaming and content creation career. Thus his return to Valorant as a professional was a shock to his fans yet.

Shroud has a natural talent for first-person shooting games such as CS: GO and Valorant. He also plays Apex Legends, Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodhunt, and The Cycle. He usually reaches the top rank of every FPS game he plays, even reaching Apex Predator during the early days of Apex Legends.

He regularly streams on Twitch and is constantly pulling around 40,000 viewers. Sometimes even higher.

Shroud also landed a $10 million exclusive streaming deal with Mixer before the company folded. It was one of the biggest deals in streaming history. He returned to Twitch after Mixer failed to gain success.

Shroud Valorant Video Settings

Shroud uses a mix of high and low settings though the majority are either turned off or set to the lowest. These settings allow him to reach a high number of frames while keeping the graphics acceptable – not that boxy and still presentable.

He needs a high number of frames-per-second because it is advantageous in competitive esports titles. Lower than 240fps and professional players cannot react quickly or flick from one side to an enemy.

Playing at 60fps also feels sluggish especially for professionals like Shroud, who are using 240Hz monitors.

Does Shroud Use A Dual PC Setup?

Yes, he does. However, his streaming PC specs are unknown. But considering that Shroud is serious with streaming, he likely has a similar streaming PC to his gaming computer.
