So you’re extremely excited to go live on your stream. You get geared up, sit down, push go live but nothing happens. Your Streamlabs OBS Go Live button isn’t working.

In this article we’re going to break down the steps to fixing your go live button.

Steps To Fixing The Go Live Button

Check Your Logged In – Streamlabs Won’t Go Live

This is pretty self explanatory but i’ve made simpler mistakes before.

Go into Settings –> Go to the bottom and click login –> Log in to your streaming service whether that is Youtube, Twitch or Facebook Gaming.

Once you have logged in you can check to see if this resolves the problem. If not move to the next step.

Delete Cache and Restart

Before doing this step make sure you have logged in and backed up your scenes to the Streamlabs cloud. This means you won’t have to set up all your alerts, panels etc again.

Go to settings –> General –> Delete Cache and Restart

Once you have deleted the cache do a full restart of your computer.

Open up Streamlabs again and log back into your account. Your scenes should all be displayed ready to go and you should be able to now go live.

Identify Other Problems Stopping You From Going live

If you have tried the above two steps and it is still not working you can identify what exactly is going wrong by checking your logs.

Logs are located here: Start > run > %appdata%\slobs-client\node-obs\logs Read the logs

For example a popular issue is having your GPU as ‘1’ to encode with, but i needed to be ‘0’

These logs should point you in the right direction to identify any other issues.
