Streamers often spend a lot of time finding ways to make their stream more enjoyable for their viewers. After all, a fun, engaging stream can keep people coming around and can potentially even get new people to visit (and maybe even stay!).

Streamloots - The no.1 monetization platform for Creators and their fans
Many streamers have started using Streamloots

There are many ways you can make add more engagement to your stream. For example, you can try putting up some channel points rewards or using some Twitch extensions to add extra functionality to your stream. Some of the methods you can use to make your stream more enjoyable, such as Streamloots, can even earn you some money.

Streamloots is a creative and fantastic way to make your stream more fun and challenging. At the same time, it’s a great way you can monetize your stream and earn yourself some extra money on the side. Some streamers even manage to make so much from Streamloots that they earn more from it than they do from Twitch subscribers.

But just what exactly is Streamloots? Should you use it on your stream? This review will tell you what you need to know to help you decide.

What is Streamloots?

Streamloots is a free-to-use service where viewers can buy packs containing three cards each. Each card has a corresponding action or response attached. For example, a card can instantly play a sound effect to jumpscare you, tell you to do something in your game, or tell you you can’t do something in your game. What cards can do are basically only limited by your creativity. You can use existing cards premade by Streamloots or create your own. You can even make individual card collections for the different games you play. The best part is, you can also set your own price for your packs!

Speaking of prices, Streamloots has a pretty generous revenue split setup for content creators using the service.

  • Streamers get 80% of pack/card sales
  • Affiliates get 80% of pack/card sales (and more features compared to streamer tier)
  • Partners get 90% of pack/card sales (and more features compared to affiliate tier)

New content creators start at the streamer tier and then work their way up to partner through Streamloots-centric achievements.

How it Works for Viewers

Streamloots has a crafting system for cards

Viewers can buy your packs and cards and either collect them or redeem them while you are streaming. This gives your viewers the power to affect your game or your stream in a fun way. Streamloots also gives your viewers the ability to destroy cards and turn them into resources they can then use to craft cards if they wish (you can turn off the ability to craft certain cards if you only want them available in paid packs).

How Does Streamloots Work?

Getting started on Streamloots is easy — all you have to do is visit the website and connect your Twitch account. From there, you can follow the onboarding process and start making your own packs and collections.

If you intend to use Streamloots for the cards, click “Cards”

After clicking cards, Streamloots will take you to a new page that has many pre-existing collections and cards you can choose from. You can select cards that you can add to your starter collection and create your own later on.

Once your collection is set up, you can start changing some of the preferences, setting the prices, and setting up your alerts. You can add new cards to your collections whenever you want, so there’s no need to strive for perfection right away. Streamloots also allows you to set a custom visual and/or audio alert whenever packs are purchased and cards are redeemed.

Viewers can then visit your Streamloots page (streamloots.com/yourtwitchusername) to buy packs and redeem them. A good example of a Streamloots page is the one below for Streamloots Partner, Dreede:

Dreede has seven card collections available for viewers to purchase

It’s worth mentioning that Streamloots has also recently added a new feature: Subscriptions. Subscriptions cost $4.99 per month (80-20 revenue split, with 80% going to the streamer). Currently, the only benefit subscriptions give your viewers is that they can play 100 visual/audio “reactions” on your stream like the ones below. You can set which reactions you want to allow.

Viewers subscribing to you through Streamloots can play these on-screen reactions.

When it comes to getting paid, you can set up your payment method and receive your payments there once you reach the €20 minimum. You can choose your payment cycle as well — payments can be once a month on day 1, once a month on day 15, or twice a month on day 1 and day 15.

Streamloots Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Getting started is free
  • Setup is easy and Streamloots has extensive documentation to help you out if you get stuck
  • Streamloots has many premade cards you can use, or you can make your own
  • Pretty good revenue splits
  • Can help make your stream more fun/engaging for viewers
  • There are options to choose when and how often you want to get paid
  • Low minimum threshold to get paid (€20)

Cons

  • Viewers have to go to your Streamloots page to buy/redeem cards
  • Some cards can easily be abused
  • Can make your game more frustrating if you are already having a hard time (we suggest temporarily disabling Streamloots in this situation)

Is Streamloots Worth It?

There are many free ways to do what Streamloots can do without your viewers having to pay real money, such as channel point redemptions. You can also set up things like Lioranboard, Twitch extensions, or your own currency system using various Twitch chatbots. However, Streamloots offers a benefit that those methods do not: it’s really easy to set up. If you don’t want to spend too much time setting up other methods, Streamloots can be extremely worth it.

Additionally, the great revenue split Streamloots offers can help you make extra income on your stream and is also great for content creators on other platforms. You set the price on your packs (though Streamloots offers suggestions as to how much you should price them depending on your stream size) so you can decide how much or how little your viewers pay. Streamloots even has a “packs for subs” feature, where you can reward your Twitch subscribers with free Streamloots packs every month.

We would certainly say that Streamloots is worth it, especially if you want to get extra creative — that way, viewers get a unique experience when they are on your stream!

Should You Add Streamloots to Your Stream?

Quite honestly, we don’t see why not. Streamloots is an excellent way to monetize while making your stream more fun and engaging for everyone. However, we do have a few tips:

  • If someone plays a card (for example, telling you what to do in-game), honor it and do not try to work around it. This prevents your viewers from feeling slighted or even scammed.
  • Be careful about adding cards that trolls could easily take advantage of, such as the text-to-speech cards or the text on-screen cards.
  • Don’t constantly hard-sell or oversell your Streamloots packs, as this can start becoming a turnoff for your viewers and become detrimental to your channel’s growth.
  • Price your packs fairly or at a more enticing price so you can sell more packs in the long run.

And, of course, have fun!

Wrapping Up

Streamloots is a free service that you can use to boost your stream’s engagement and keep people coming back for more. It’s not perfect, but it certainly can be quite fun and a great way to pad your paycheck every now and then. If you’re still on the fence, you can give it a shot — after all, getting started is free!
