Yes, Warzone 2 is going to feature proximity chat. According to Activision, the new game will come with a slew of features that’ll help players interact with each other on the battlefield. One feature that they’ve mentioned in particular is the inclusion of proximity chat.
Patrick Kelly, Studio Head and Franchise Creative Director for Patrick Kelly confirmed that Proximity Chat would be a feature present in Warzone 2. However, we still aren’t sure if there’s a game mode that’ll implement Proximity Chat on Modern Warfare II just yet.
For those unaware, proximity chat was popularized in Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds, wherein players from different teams could communicate with each other if they were close enough to each other.
Can You Turn Off Proximity Chat In Warzone 2?
As always, we’re expecting that you will be able to turn Proximity Chat off if needed. However, to be honest, the feature does add to the overall immersion of the battlefield as players feel more real. And, let’s be honest, it does lead to some very funny interactions.
