The Nvidia RTX 2070 Super offers 9 TFLOPs of throughput and supports ray tracing, which makes it a great alternative.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The same is the case with the RTX 2070 Super.<\/a> While it can surely run some games at 4K 60 FPS, it is more fitting to use this graphics card at 1440p 120 FPS, or 1440p 60 FPS with ray tracing turned on<\/strong>. The first-generation RT cores are good enough to give you a taste of ray tracing and DLSS allows you to get a boost in frame rate when you need it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How Does The PS5 Graphics Card Compare In The Real World?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It is also worth mentioning that while the PS5 does support 4K gaming at up to 120 FPS, it is up to the game developer to decide how it wants to optimize the game. This means that one title might run at 4K 60 FPS while another might run at 1080p 120 FPS<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, the settings are fixed and optimized to the PS5. More often than not, you get to see medium settings on consoles while you have the option to turn settings up to high or even ultra on PC. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some game developers give you the option to run the game at a higher resolution with lower frame rates or pick a lower resolution and higher frame rates.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With that in mind, you could end up playing a game at 4K 30 FPS, but on PC the target is to hit 60 FPS in order to get a smooth gaming experience. Optimizing games for the PS5 is easier as the hardware is set but the different CPU and GPU combinations for PC are limitless. That is one of the reasons why you need more graphics power on a PC in order to run games at 4K 60 FPS as compared to the PS5.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you can see, games like The Witcher 3 and Far Cry 5 need a next-generation patch in order to run at 60 FPS. It is worth mentioning that the Nvidia RTX 2070 Super and AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT are running these games at ultra settings<\/strong>. You can reduce the settings in order to get better performance from these cards. With that said, you will need better hardware for an ideal PC gaming experience at 4K.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the Nvidia RTX 2070 Super and AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT are perfectly capable cards that can take on the PS5, you are going to need more raw performance in order to have an ideal gaming experience at 4K. The following are the graphics cards that we recommend you get.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GeForce RTX 3080<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

While the RTX 3090 is the top-of-the-line graphics card that Nvidia has to offer this generation, it is overkill even for 4K gaming. That is why we recommend the RTX 3080 <\/a>which is a monster of a graphics card that can handle any game at 4K 60 FPS if not higher.<\/strong> It features 10GB of VRAM which is great for higher resolutions and has 8704 CUDA cores. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are plenty of different models for this card out there so you can even get a faster one if you can find it. The Radeon RX 6800 XT is a great alternative to the RTX 3080. It does have weaker ray tracing performance but does have better rasterization performance in games. The Radeon RX 6800 XT has a game clock speed of 2015 MHz and can boost to 2250 MHz. THE GPU has 16GB of VRAM which is ideal for higher resolution gaming. There are different versions of this card, so the boost clock speed can be higher for some variants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/a>\"\"\n\n\n\n

If you are willing to turn down some settings then you can save some money and get the GeForce RTX 3070, which beats the RTX 2080 Ti in terms of performance. This GPU is great value for money and can easily run most games at 4K 60 FPS. It also has second-generation RT cores and third-generation Tensor cores so you can take advantage of ray tracing and DLSS 2.0.
