Who Is Tfue?
Tfue exploded onto the scene on Fortnite, but prior to that, he had already been playing professionally in other battle royales. For example, in 2017 he represented a team, Denial Esports, in the game H1Z1. In the same year, he switched off H1Z1 and moved to PUBG, also joining the team Rogue. He didn’t stay with Rogue for long – in 2018, he joined FaZe Clan, where he played Fortnite professionally.
However, this professional relationship wasn’t meant to be, as Tfue started legal proceedings in May 2019 against FaZe, alleging that his contract violated the state laws of California. In 2020, FaZe and Tfue reached a settlement, and Tfue was released from his contract.
As Tfue continues to grow in popularity, he has also seen his share of controversy. He’s been banned a few times from Twitch for his chat’s toxicity against a smaller streamer and for using a racial slur. He has even gotten a ban from Epic Games because he allegedly sold Fortnite accounts that held rare skins, something against the Terms of Service of the game.
