Who Is Shroud?
Michael Grzesiek, more commonly known as Shroud within the video game space, is a Canadian professional gamer, streamer, and content creator.
Michael has introduced to the world of video games at a very young age thanks to his father who spent time gaming with him as he was growing up. His dad is also the one who introduced Shroud to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
Shroud started streaming on YouTube back in 2012 at the age of seventeen, but he didn’t consider making a career out of it. However, as his skills improved, he gained the attention of Complexity and pretty soon joined their team. He quit the team in 2017 and decided to fully focus on his streaming career. Over the years, his Twitch following rose to 10.2 million.
Shroud Legends Settings
Customization plates a huge part when it comes to performing well in a game, and Apex Legends offers players a wide variety of options that they can tweak to fit their personal needs. While this is an extremely welcoming feature, some players may find the number of options available overwhelming. At this point, it may be a good idea to copy the settings from one of the professional players, and from there, finetune them to your personal preferences.
Shroud Apex Legends Mouse Settings
Mose settings are extremely important when it comes to performing well in an FPS game, and just like every other professional player, Shroud has his mouse settings customized to his personal preferences.
When taking a look at his mouse settings, we can see that his DPI is set to 450 which is relatively low compared to other professionals. On the other hand, he has his sensitivity set to 3 which is higher than what most professionals prefer.
DPI | 450 |
Mouse Sensitivity | 3.0 |
Mouse Acceleration | Off |
Lighting Effects | On |
Polling Rate | 1000 |
ADS Multiplier | 1.0 |
Mouse Invert | Off |
Shroud Apex Legends Video Settings
When it comes to video settings, Shroud is somewhat of an outlier compared to other professional players. While professional players tend to lower the quality of visuals in the game in order to boost performance and framerates, Shroud does the exact opposite. If we take a look at his settings below, we will notice that all of the video settings are cranked up as high as they can be. An exception to this is the Field of View which is at 103 out of a possible 110, but that is likely done out of personal preference.
Display Mode | Full Screen | Full screen maximizes frame rates |
Aspect Ratio | 16:9 | |
Resolution | 2560 x 1440 | |
Field Of View (FOV) | 103 | Using a higher FOV setting provides better visibility. |
FOV Ability Scaling | Unknown | This disables the added FOV whenever Bloodhound or Octane uses their abilities. |
Sprint View Shake | Minimal | This will keep your screen steady while running. |
V-Sync | Disabled | |
NVidia Reflex | Unknown | |

Anti-aliasing | TSAA | |

Shroud Gaming PC Setup
Boosting your in-game video settings to the maximum can severely impact your framerates, fortunately, that is not a problem for Shroud because his gaming PC has some serious horsepower.
Featuring the latest AMD Ryzen 9 5959X CPU, combined with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 GPU and 64GB of HyperX Predator RGB RAM, Shroud doesn’t need to worry about things like framerates and visual fidelity.

Shroud Apex Legends Keybinds
Shroud’s keybinds are for the most part the default Apex Legends settings, except for the jump key which he has bound to his mouse. This is a common practice among professional first-person shooter players, especially those who have played games like CS:GO. Players who choose to do this are usually already used to using their mouse to jump and can use their left hand to perform other activities.
