Have you picked up a Nintendo Switch and played through all of the titles that you had on your list. Maybe your thinking about going back and playing some of the classics, from the Nintendo 3DS but can you do it on a Nintendo Switch?

It may be cool to play some of your favourite classics on a slightly bigger screen or even docking you switch to your tv, to play these older games on the big screen. Of course, the 3DS and DS cartridges will not fit in the Nintendo Switch, as they are a completely different shape and size but can you download these old games digitally?

Probably not the news that you wanted to hear if you searched for this article. This means that you will have to go back to those older consoles and re-live the nostalgia there, if you want to play your older purchases again.

So, there you have it. Officially, you can’t play 3DS games on Switch. However some people smarter than me have found ways around this. While we do not recommend messing with the software on your Switch as it may void the warranty, some smart people have found workarounds to actually make it work.

Hopefully at some stage in the future Nintendo may decide to make some of the most popular 3DS games compatible with switch or even create re-mastered versions of them.
