Your webcam is one of the most important parts of your stream. It let’s your viewers see your reactions to what’s happening in real time. That’s exciting. If you have just got a new webcam and added it to Streamlabs, you may find that your webcam isn’t zoomed in on your face enough. This is really a personal preference but depending on where you had room to position your webcam, you might want to adjust the zoom.

Take a look at Nickmercs webcam for example. He’s head is right up in the frame. If you want a similar effect follow this tutorial.

You can see the type of zoom effect you will get in the images below.

How To Zoom Your Webcam In OBS Studio

The easiest way to zoom your webcam is to increase the size of the frame and crop it. You can see in the photo below my webcam is in my overlay box but my head is quite small in the frame. Let’s zoom it in.

  1. Click on your webcam
  2. Click and drag on one of the corners to increase the size of your webcam. Increase the size and position it until you have your head framed correctly in your webcam border, like below.
  1. Click on your webcam again. While holding the ALT key, click and drag each edge in, to crop your webcam.
  1. Once you have dragged in all corners your webcam will now be zoomed in with your head perfectly in frame.

That’s all you have to do to zoom in your webcam.

Method 2 – Manual Crop

If you don’t want to ALT drag and be more precise with your cropping you can use the method below.

  1. Right click on your webcam in your sources section.
  2. Click on Transform –> Edit Transform. This will open a window where you can crop from the left, right, top or bottom.
  1. Choose how many pixels you want to crop each side by to get the perfect zoom on your camera.

Personally I prefer the first method but if you want to get really precise this can be great.
