How Do I Change Where Recordings Are Stored In Streamlabs OBS?

You may want to change where your recordings are stored especially if you want to record to an external drive like my self.

To change where your recordings are stored follow the steps below:

  1. Open Streamlabs OBS and click on the settings COG
  2. Click on output on the left-hand side
  3. Scroll down to Recording and click on browse
  4. This will open up file explorer allowing you to select any folder you want to save your recordings

I recommend saving them in an easy-to-find spot and potentially using an external drive to record your footage to. I have been doing this for years and it allows me to free up my main drive and also take my recordings on the go if I ever want to edit recordings on the road. I’m a big fan of the Lacie portable drives.
