Are you having a problem installing shaders in Warzone? If you’re on this page you are probably having an issue where “installing shaders to optimize performance during gameplay” either stops during install or it’s taking way to long.
The first time that you install the game the shaders can take 30-40 minutes to install on some systems however after install, it should not take any longer than a couple of minutes. Some people’s shaders just stop installing. If that is you lets take a look at what you can do to fix it.
How To Fix Installing Shaders In Warzone When Stuck
Method 1 – Scan & Repair
This is the first method that you should try. Open your Battle.net client and navigate to Warzone. Beside the play button click on the settings COG and click Scan and Repair.
This will run the scan and repair tool on your game . It may take a few minutes to repair as it has to re-download some small files. Once this has completed you can re-launch the game and if successful your shaders should install without issue.
If this does not work move on to the next Method.
Method 2 – Cancel Installing Shaders
If it gets stuck installing you can attempt to cancel the install and have it reset. Close the shader installation process and restart. Hopefully when it restarts it will complete successfully.
Method 3 – Re-Install The Game
This is probably not what you want to hear with the massive download size of Warzone however it may be your last option unless you want to wait for activision to provide a Hot Fix. That could be a long time knowing Activision.
You can go into the Battle.net client and click the settings COG beside the play button. Then click on Un-Install. You can then re-install the game from here. This is the last thing you should try as a scan and repair should fix the issue.
Hopefully this fix has helped you solve your problem with installing shaders on Warzone. If it has let us know down in the comments and enjoy dropping into Caldera with a smooth running game.
