Overwatch 2 has just dropped and fans are extremely excited to get into the game and start playing. After all, it has been an extremely long time since the game was announced but now it’s finally here.

Unfortunately, the launch of the game has some server issues. Many people have been experiencing the ‘Game server Connection Failed’ error or the ‘Unexpected Server’ error stopping them from joining games. Then when people eventually get into the game they are getting a black screen at seemingly random times.

In this article, we are going to take a look at how you can Fix the Overwatch 2 Black Screen issue.

Fix Overwatch 2 Black Screen

The Overwatch team has acknowledged the black screen issue on their forums. This is good news as it means you don’t have a hardware problem and this glitch is happening to a lot of people.

The black screen is triggered when you ALT + TAB in Full Screen mode or Windowed borderless mode. To avoid the black screen issue you will have to avoid ALT + TAB until the dev team comes out with a fix or play in Windowed mode.

While this may be annoying it’s not a major issue. We know the cause of the problem and can therefore avoid it until it’s fixed.

If you regularly tab out of your game between matches etc you may want to play in Windowed Mode.

Wrapping Up
